My Story

Art has always been my sanctuary. I have always loved art and exploring many different styles and mediums, but it was never more than a hobby for me, as I believed that being an artist was unattainable, unrealistic and would never pay the bills. It was my high school art teacher who kept that spark alive, constantly pushing me to step beyond my comfort zone, to see the world through a different lens, and to trust my creative voice.

However, it wasn't until I mustered up the courage to leave a DV relationship, that I truly understood the power of art. I felt lost, empty, and defeated — but through the act of creating, I rediscovered my strength. Art became my way of reclaiming myself. It became my tool for healing, my form of resistance, and my means of self-empowerment.

Petal & Duck is not just a brand; it is my journey. It is the embodiment of every step I’ve taken toward reclaiming my voice, my courage, and my life. It represents the unbreakable spirit that lives within all of us, a spirit that can flourish even in the toughest of times.
